Membrane Pressure Vessel

Q-Tec Pressure Vessels are designed for continuous use as housing for membrane filtration elements to purify typical brackish or seawater at any positive pressure up to the specified pressure rating.

Protec Membrane Housings will accommodate any make of eight-inch nominal diameter spiral-wound element as well as many hollow fiber elements. The element interface hardware for the specified element is supplied with the vessel.

Protec Membrane Housings been designed to meet the standards of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, Section X. At an additional cost, vessels can be inspected during fabrication by an ASME Authorized Inspector and Code stamped.

Q-Tec SS Ro Housings are made out of seamless stainless steel material either in SS 304 or SS316 L. These are available in internal and external mirror finish. These are available in pressure ratings of 300 to 1200 psi and can accommodate any standard make of up to 8 inch diameter membrane and these housings are available with ABS end caps and SS RO Housings are supplied with O Rings, Saddles and Straps with screws as standard supply.

DO’S
  • pressure vessels are designed for water treatment only
  • Inspect end closures regularly; replace components that have deteriorated and correct causes of corrosion.
  • Make sure that vessels and associated pipe systems are fully depressurized before attempting any service or maintenance operation.
  • Regularly inspect the system so as to ensure that the various components have not deteriorated or been damaged. Replace any faulty component, make sure the reason for the fault has been found and fixed as well.
  • Only qualified mechanics, experienced in working with high pressure hydraulic systems, should be allowed to disassemble or assemble the vessel.
  • Provide adequate room for serving at both ends of vessel. Elements are installed from the upstream end, pushed through towards the downstream end and eventually removed from the downstream end.
  • Make sure that the vessel is horizontally installed on support saddles
DON’T
  • Do not tolerate Leaks, or allow end closures to be routinely wetted in any way.
  • Never attempt to repair or disassemble the feed/concentrate port in a side port vessel
  • Be careful not to scratch the inside wall of the shell, especially at the inner sealing area near the groove.
  • The pressure vessel should not be used as a support. Piping manifolds and other fittings should be properly designed system framework
  • Straps should be tightened enough to hold the vessel onto the support pads, but never so tightly as to restrict expansion.

  • In the event of failure due to high voltage or chemical seepage into drive end guarantee ceases.
  • All rights reserve by the manufacturer to decide the guarantee terms and conditions. It will be decided from the records available with us and after physical check of the product.
